Horseback Riding

  • Red Cliffs Lodge — (435) 259-2002. Guided horseback rides near Castle Valley on trails made famous by John Wayne.
  • Rock N' Ridge Rides — (801) 599-2789. Guided horseback rides in the La Sal Mountains for those looking to escape the desert heat.
  • Moab Horses — (435) 259-8015. Backcountry horseback and mule trail rides near Professor Valley and the Colorado River.

Hiking

  • Arches National Park — Great hikes to great arches. Arches requires a Timed Entry Ticket between April 1 and October 31. Reservations need to be made several months in advance.
  • Corona Arch — Located 9 miles down the Potash Road, north of Moab. A short hike to a spectacular arch.
  • Canyonlands National Park — Wonderful day and overnight hiking.

Aerial Activities: Zipline, Scenic Flights, Hot Air Balloon, Skydiving

  • Big Horn Lodge — (435) 259-6171. Has new furnishings and is also very bike friendly.
