Picture this- it is cold and snowy and home, with more weather on the way. You are eyeing your mountain bike, longing for the feeling of warmth on your skin from bright sunshine, the feel of the wind rushing by as you zoom along on smooth singletrack for miles, and the calm of camping out in the desert after a day of riding.

Sonoran Desert
The Sonoran Desert stretches from Arizona down to Mexico and is characterized by Saguaro cacti, mild winter weather and stunning sunsets. It also has miles and miles of flowy singletrack trails that are perfect for mountain biking.
 The cholla cacti and saguaro are truly amazing to see and keep riders eyes on the trails!
 Winter in the Sonoran Desert is breathtakingly beautiful! After a rainy winter, the desert sparkles in green grasses and wildflowers.

Fly or drive into Phoenix, Arizona and base out of McDowell Mountain Preserve for four days of base camping and riding. There are miles of singletrack right from camp, and we will explore the nearby Brown’s Ranch for even more trails. Evenings will be spent enjoying the epic sunsets and colors on the Superstition Mountains and Four Peaks.

- perfect for riders of any skill level. The singletrack winds its way through forests of saguaro cacti, ocotillo and some of the most biodiverse desert anywhere in the world. Our mid and late winter trips may even be treated to a showing of fields of green grass and wildflowers- a truly spectacular time to be in the Sonoran Desert!
